It's 8:00 pm and 40 degrees. We won't see 40 degrees again for a few days if all the weather predictions are correct. We are suppose to get snow and the temps are going to dip below freezing at night.
i started working my garden this weekend. i have potato starts, onion bunches and garlic to plant after the frost and snow. The unusual cold weather (for us here in Raintown) is all my fault. i have been bragging about how spring starts in February around here, so i jinxed it.
i do like February... here, anyway. How can you not love the first spring day? It happens every year here in Raintown, in February. The last few days have been beautiful. The clouds parted, it warmed up to 50 degrees and i could not stay indoors.
i'm using an online garden planner @ Mother Earth News which i am having fun with. i've learned of a method for planting potatoes called, The Lazy Man's Method and this lazy woman is going to try it. And, i am raising NO chicks this year (unless, of course, i see some tiny little leghorns that call out my name - - putting my earplugs in now).
i took some pics of the barren landscape that is my yard and when i downloaded the pics to my computer, i found Christmas and Halloween pics as well. What have i been doing for the last seven months?
Not going there. i've got a garden to grow.
